The FACINGS team is happy to announce that the deliverables for our second EOS Network Foundation Direct Grant proposal have been completed! The final milestone has been submitted for review. The scope of the grant includes a plugin framework, and two feature examples fully implemented as plugins, including: the ability to bulk create AtomicAsset NFT schema and template data from a CSV file using the “Data Import” plugin, and the ability to distribute NFTs en masse via our “Airdrop” plugin.

Collection Manager is an open source application that anyone can use as a starting point for their own NFT collection manager app. FACINGS designed Collection Manager to be useful for teams at any level; by including a plugin framework, multiple developers / teams can leverage a shared core, whilst also creating their own custom plugins which can be injected into the app at runtime (or included directly into the open source app as we did with “Data Import” and “Airdrop”). Our goal is to foster a collaborative open source community around the application and plugin ecosystem.

FACINGS will continue to develop plugins and support plugin development by serving as a resource for technical help and assistance to any developers working on the collection-manager repo or associated plugins. Are you a developer interested in working with NFTs? A few plugin concepts that can be worked on by anybody include:

  • A marketplace UI for atomicmarket.
  • Advanced search and filtering features.
  • Utilities that enhance what your NFTs can do, such as token-gating content.
  • Transformation of NFTs (pack opening, crafting).
  • And many more…

As for what’s next for FACINGS: the team is evaluating our priorities going forward, with a major focus on adding more useful features to The FACINGS Creator, instrumenting the app with analytics to improve our product development feedback loop, and delivering new features at a rapid pace. We’re looking forward to sharing new developments as they become available. Stay tuned for updates in the coming months!

We’d love to hear your feedback, feature requests, and suggestions for improvement. Head on over to our hosted instance of collection-manager, The FACINGS Creator, and give it a try.
